Hotels are grouped into two zones. All driving distances below are approximate road distances from each hotel to IUH (12 Nguyen Van Bao, Go Vap District). Traffic during peak hours (7:00–9:00 and 17:00–19:00) may add 10–15 minutes.
ZONE 0 – Walking Distance from IUH Go Vap District
Best for guests who want to minimise commute time and experience local neighbourhood life right next to the university. All hotels below are within ~2.5 km of IUH. These are mostly budget-to-mid-range local hotels — ideal for attendees on a tighter budget or those who prioritise proximity over amenities.

⛈ Weather
Monsoon season. Expect 31°C – 33°C daily highs and sudden afternoon downpours. Always carry an umbrella!
🔌 Electricity
Vietnam uses 220V / 50Hz. Outlets accept flat blade plugs, two round pins, or two parallel flat pins with ground pin. Bring a travel adapter if needed.

🏛️ Top Places to Visit
- Nguyen Hue Walking Street – Sai Gon Ward, District 1. A vibrant 800m pedestrian promenade with cafés, restaurants, and events.
- Independence Palace – 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St., Ben Thanh Ward. Open daily 08:00–11:00 & 13:00–16:00. Historic command centre from the Vietnam War era.
- Ho Chi Minh City Post Office – 2 Cong Xa Paris St., Sai Gon Ward. Open daily 07:00–19:00. A stunning example of French colonial architecture, designed by Gustave Eiffel.

🥖 Bánh Mì
A Vietnamese baguette filled with pâté, pickled vegetables, cilantro, chillies, and your choice of meat — grilled pork, fried fish, or meatballs. Quick, cheap, and utterly delicious.
🍚 Cơm Tấm (Broken Rice)
Broken rice served with barbecued pork chop, shredded pork skin, and a steamed pork & egg pâté. Accompanied by pickled vegetables and fish sauce.
🍜 Phở (Noodles)
Rice noodle soup with beef or chicken, served with bean sprouts, lime, mint, cilantro, and chilli sauce. A bowl of comfort at any hour of the day.
