Dear TESOLers and Educators,

As we extend our sincere gratitude to the 143 dedicated teachers, educators, and researchers from Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, USA, China, Thailand, Nepal, Russia, and Vietnam who enriched the 3rd International Conference of TESOL & Education, we eagerly anticipate your continued contributions at our upcoming 4th International Conference of TESOL & Education & VLTESOL at Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 16 to17 August 2024, at 69/68 Dang Thuy Tram, Ward 13, Binh Thanh Dist., Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Your diverse perspectives are integral to shaping the future of language education.

The 4th International Conference of TESOL & Education invites educators, researchers, and language enthusiasts to explore the theme of “Implementations of AI Tools for Language Teaching and Learning.” This dynamic theme signifies a pivotal shift in the landscape of education, where artificial intelligence (AI) intersects with language instruction, promising transformative outcomes.

Traditional language teaching methods are undergoing a paradigm shift as AI tools offer innovative solutions to longstanding challenges. The conference aims to delve into AI’s potential to revolutionize language education by providing personalized, adaptive, and effective learning experiences. AI tools, from natural language processing algorithms to interactive applications, have the capacity to offer tailored feedback, identify individual learning styles, and adapt content to match proficiency levels.

A key focus of the conference is the exploration of AI-driven assessment methods in language education. These tools, by analyzing linguistic patterns, promise more accurate and insightful assessments, enabling educators to gauge not just linguistic proficiency but also the cognitive processes underlying language acquisition. Ethical considerations surrounding AI in education will be a central theme. Balancing the efficiency of AI-driven tools with the empathetic understanding human instructors provide is crucial for addressing concerns related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the human touch in education.

The conference emphasizes practical insights through hands-on workshops, allowing participants to engage with AI applications in language learning. This experiential approach bridges the gap between theory and practice, empowering educators to harness the full potential of AI tools. Furthermore, the global nature of education and cultural sensitivity in language instruction will be explored. Attendees will discuss how AI tools can be customized to address linguistic and cultural diversities, fostering a more inclusive approach to language education globally.

Join us at 69/68 Dang Thuy Tram, Ward 13, Binh Thanh Dist., Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on August 16 and 17, 2024, to contribute your insights and shape the future of language education. The 4th International Conference of TESOL & Education is not just an event; it’s a convergence of transformative ideas that will propel language education into a new era, where AI and human ingenuity harmonize to create unparalleled learning experiences.
