Signing Ceremony of MoU between the University of Foreign Language Studies – University of Danang and ICTE Press
On September 10, 2025, the University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS), the University of Danang (Vietnam), and ICTE Press (USA) held a formal ceremony in Da Nang to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This was a big step forward for academic cooperation and international collaboration.
Representatives from both sides for signing event:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Rector of UFLS – University of Danang, representing Party B.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho, Vice President of the International Association of TESOL & Education (IATE), on behalf of ICTE Press (Party A).
Purpose of the MoU
The agreement is a statement of intent to foster mutual understanding, cooperation, and academic excellence, without creating a binding legal or financial relationship. Both parties expressed their shared vision of advancing education, research, and publication in the fields of:
- Language & Linguistics
- TESOL and Pedagogy
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Language Education
- Language Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Translation, Interpretation, and Cultural Communication
Key Areas of Collaboration
- Research Collaboration
- Joint research projects in TESOL, linguistics, AI in education, and pedagogy.
- Shared expertise and resources, with opportunities to secure joint research funding.
- Publication Collaboration
- Co-authorship of articles, books, and chapters with equitable recognition.
- Publication opportunities through ICTE Press journals and proceedings, including:
- International Journal of TESOL & Education
- International Journal of Language Instruction
- International Journal of AI in Language Education
- ICTE Conference Proceedings
- Double-blind peer review to ensure high academic standards.
- Conference Collaboration
- Co-organization of international conferences, seminars, and workshops in TESOL & Education.
- Jointly agreed responsibilities on hosting, sponsorship, and logistics
- Confidentiality & Duration
- Both parties commit to protecting sensitive information.
- The MoU is valid for three years from the signing date, with the option to renew by mutual agreement.
This partnership helps UFLS-UD’s global academic network and ICTE Press’s goal of spreading research and encouraging new ways of learning. The partnership will give faculty, researchers, and students more chances to do high-quality research, publish internationally, and share ideas with other academics.
This MoU shows that both sides are committed to building bridges between Vietnam and the international academic community in language education, research, and publication.
